I probably don't need to remind you of the world we live in these days, but here I go =)
A world of keyboards, smartphones, tablets & laptops that leave our posture slumping!
Backbending yoga postures are the perfect way to help your heart open & your spine breathe after long work days filled with downward gazes! (Another thing you probably didn't need reminding of!)
However, this isn't a post to give you tips on opening through back bending. Instead I want to offer the opposite:
Postures to include in your practice for after your back bends & heart openers.
The feelings you get when you are in a backbend asana are sometimes indescribable!
Open -- Vulnerable -- Alive -- Beautiful
Let me ask you this:
How you feel after your backbend?
Did you know that it is actual harming to your spine to come out of a backbend and into that intense forward fold your spine seems to be begging for?
Here are some fabulous & delicious options of asanas to include in your practice to counter the beautiful backbend you just practiced! These poses will be great for you spine after it has just opened, leaving it feeling taken care of. Which is so important!

Enjoy!!
xoxo
