To be honest, 3 years ago I never would have thought Hanumanasana (Splits or Monkey Pose) would once be in my practice. This is a pose that feels so closed & impossible in one moment, but with a consistent & balanced practice CAN be attainable!
This pose, and the journey towards this pose teaches celebration, openness & positivity. It will help you connect with your breath, and in turn will decrease your stress levels (score!).
Take this one slow. Try these poses before introducing the full pose into your practice. Hold each pose for 5-8 breaths until you get to the transition positions of getting into the full pose <3.
It doesn't have to be perfect; remember that is besides the point when it comes to yoga.
Don't rush the process. Enjoy where you are, because things will change faster than you think. You'll regret not being in every moment along the way. Relax, breathe & be, my friend!
